Safety Features in 2018 Chrysler Pacifica
The Chrysler Pacifica is the only minivan to be awarded a 2017 IIHS Top Safety Pick, making it the safest minivan option out there. The Pacifica features a 360-degree surround view camera the offers a bird’s eye view of the vehicle by utilizing four cameras placed strategically around the vehicle so that you get a holistic view of your surroundings.
Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus is available on the Pacifica to give you an audible and visual warning when it senses a frontal collision is imminent, and it even helps to apply the Automatic Emergency Braking if need be. The sensors used with this system are also used to give you Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, which helps you stay a pre-set distance from a vehicle in front of you in cruise situations.
Parking Assistance features are offered on the Pacifica, including standard ParkSense® Rear Park Assist with Stop, which has sensors that help you detect objects in your way and alerts you to keep you from backing up into them. The brakes can engage automatically as well during a reverse parking maneuver if your vehicle detects a crash is likely. Parallel and perpendicular parking assist are also available to give you assistance with difficult parking maneuvers.
