First up is fuel economy. If you end up going for the widely-celebrated 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel, you’re looking at a class-leading 28 highway mpg, which is a phenomenal number for a full-size pickup. Certainly many area drivers with some distance to travel regularly will want to seriously consider this option. Another great pick if you’re not into the diesel thing is the standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 which gets you best-in-class gas fuel economy of 25 highway mpg. Yup — That’s best in class for two engines!
What else can you get in your 2015 Ram 1500 for an engine? A V8, of course! The 5.7-liter HEMI V8 gets an incredible 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.

How about towing? The Ram 1500 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel can tow up to 9,200 lbs, and the V8 has a maximum towing capacity of 10,450 pounds when properly equipped. It’s safe to say that if you’re looking at full-size pickup for towing, there’s something in the 2015 Ram 1500 lineup that’ll have you covered.
