No Additional Layers – When you open the door to your vehicle in the summer, you’ll often notice that the air and the seats are hot to the touch. Instead of putting blanket down and putting your child into the car seat, take a minute to let the cabin cool down by opening the doors and windows. An added layer between your child and the seat can prevent the car seat from keeping them safe in the event of a crash.
Have Patience and Cool Down – As we mentioned above, taking a minute to let the inside of the car cool down can be helpful in preventing burns and uncomfortable kids. Metal parts and dark-colored seats can become too hot when left in the sun for a period of time.
