The 2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk model comes with a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine, as does the 2015 Jeep Cherokee. The Cherokee has the added option of a 3.2L V6, so if that’s a must for you, the Cherokee is probably your best bet. But don’t be quick to discount the performance of the Renegade! The Renegade Trailhawk is Trail Rated with Best-in-Class 4x4 capability and boasts an impressive 2,000 pounds of towing capacity. As for cargo volume, you’re looking at a fairly similar amount of space offered on both models, with the Cherokee at an advantage of about four cubic feet.
Finally, for the sunroof options, which are available features on both models. The Jeep Cherokee has a more traditional sunroof with a first panel that tilts or slides and a fixed second panel. The 2015 Jeep Renegade offers something quite different, called the My Sky roof. This option allows you to retract the first panel to let a bit of air in, or remove both panels entirely and store them in the cargo area for that great top-down feeling with a few easy steps.
