There are many reasons why Southeastern Wisconsin customers are flocking to the Jeep Cherokee. It is the only one in its class with true off-road capability. It is designed with a purpose. Plus, it offers the latest technology and maximum space for passengers and cargo alike. All of this available at an affordable price!
The first thing you notice with the Cherokee starts with its revised distinctive front end. The nose design alone helps in creating a class-best angle of approach. The headlights are now where they should be – beaming an improved light onto the road, with a LED daytime running light creating a signature at all times. The rest of the design breaks the mold of not only Jeeps, but from the competition. This is one reason why it is popular – to be apart from the crowd while it is away from the road.
Inside is the highest quality and best designed interior in Jeep history. It is friendly to those who are Jeep enthusiasts, as well as newcomers to the brand. Everything is nice to the touch and easily accessible for the driver. Jeep offers the 8.4-inch UConnect Touch screen and a customizable center TFT screen providing all of the information needed at a moment’s glance. There is seating for five in comfortable surroundings. Not to mention expandable cargo space thanks to 60/40 folding split rear seats.
The Cherokee is one of the safest Jeeps ever designed. Active safety features dot around the vehicle, including ParkView and ParkSense, making things easier for one of the toughest jobs a SUV driver has to do. Forward Collision Warning Plus, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Path Detection, and the Electric Stability Program adds the assurance of accident avoidance on the road. Now, the Cherokee is more connected than ever, thanks to UConnect System and customer service providing 9-1-1 emergency service and roadside assistance right at your fingertips.
There is a choice of two engines on the Cherokee. Standard is the 2.4-liter Tigershark MultiAir II four-cylinder with 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. This engine will get up to 31MPG on the highway. An available 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 provides maximum power at 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque.
There is now turbocharged power available on the Cherokee. A new 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder can put out 270 horsepower with 295 pound-feet of torque. While powerful, the new turbo Cherokee can return up to 31 MPG on the highway. This engine is available on all models and packages except for the base Latitude. All three engines are available with a class-first nine-speed automatic transmission.
The Cherokee offers both front-wheel drive (4x2) and four-wheel drive (4x4). There is a choice of four-wheel drive systems, including the Selec-Terrain system. It can dial up the right traction settings for the conditions the Cherokee Trailhawk is put through. The Trailhawk also comes with Selec-Speed control, a rear-wheel lock button – a part of Active Drive Lock - and 56:1 crawl ratio – both designed to ensure optimal traction and decent in every terrain and traction situation. The Cherokee has an 8.7-inch ground clearance, reaching as high as 18.9 inches at the approach angle.
The Cherokee starts at $25,490.
