The most popular model of the truck, the Ram 1500, has pretty awesome capability in its own right. The truck has a max payload of 1,909 pounds and max towing capability of 10,450 pounds. This is all done while getting 25 MPH on the highway with the 3.6-liter Pentastar engine.
As for the specifics coming out of this awesome Pentastar engine, it has output of 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. There is also the 4.7-liter V8 that has 310 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque. Step up to the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and we’re talking about 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.
